Unfortunately Lotus Renault GP driver, Robert Kubica, suffered an accident at high speed on Sunday (6th) morning while competing in the Ronde di Andora Rally. Following the accident Robert was airlifted to Santa Corona Hospital in Pietra Ligure where a team of surgeons performed a seven-hour operation. The doctors are reasonably satisfied with how the operation went and Robert’s condition remains serious but stable.
The 26-year-old Polish driver made his F1 debut in 2006 with BMW and is widely believed to be one of the most talented drivers on the grid.
Group Lotus wishes Robert a speedy recovery. For more information on Robert’s condition please visit: www.lotusrenaultgp.com
