Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup Cup leader Mateusz Lisowski shows commanding performance at the Nürburgring
Pole position, fastest race lap and victory – Mateusz Lisowski managed the motorsport hat-trick in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup at the Nürburgring. But the Pole had to work harder than it seemed to clinch his third victory of the season at the sixth race in the Eifel region. In the first half of the race the series rookie fought a remarkable duel with last year's winner Aditya Patel (India) which he decided in his favour also thanks to the push-to-pass system. On top of everything, Patel on the final lap had to admit defeat to Daniel Lloyd (Great Britain) but with a third-place finish he celebrated his best result of the season. The best representative of the Legends classification, in which national rally aces competed, was Uwe Nittel on position 13. Thomas Schöffler decided the Junior classification in his favor for the second consecutive time.
