Volkswagen donates $100,000 towards global disaster relief

Volkswagen Group of America today announced that, through the Volkswagen of America Foundation, has donated $50,000 each to AmeriCares and Doctors Without Borders to assist with global disaster relief efforts. AmeriCares and Doctors Without Borders both provide medical assistance and disaster relief to countries around the world.

“Corporate social responsibility is deeply embedded in our culture at Volkswagen Group of America,”said Tony Cervone, executive vice president, communications, Volkswagen Group of America. “Through the efforts of AmeriCares and Doctors Without Borders, two exemplary humanitarian organizations, it is our goal to give victims of natural disasters greater access to medical supplies, healthcare programs and other valuable resources as they rebuild their lives and communities. It seems especially urgent and fitting at this time of year.”
